Why should I try a Connection Group?
Building authentic relationships with others is a must to grow in loving and following Jesus Christ and with everyone else. Connection groups provides the kind of environment that encourage people to step out on faith in their spiritual journey, We meet once a week. We talk about life issues that matter to all of us. We share each other's burdens (we care about each other) and we challenge each other to live for Jesus every day.
I am new to small groups in general. Where do I start?
Try out any of our Connection Groups that you want. The only thing we ask is that once you decide which Connection Group you want to stick with, that you stick with it for about two months. That gives you enough time to get to know everyone and get comfortable with your group.
What should I do if I have children?
We want all of our parents to feel like they can bring their children to any group. Each group will be prepared to have a designated adult to watch over your kids just a room away. If we know ahead of time that kids will be there, we will be prepared.
I work unusual hours and I am not sure how often I can attend.
That's okay. Connection Group meeting days and times are flexible. You might be able to work out a different meeting time or if you can come every other week, that's okay by us, too.
Do I have to be a member of New Life Baptist Church to attend?
No, you do not. Everyone is welcome regardless if they go to our church or not.
Can I invite a friend?
Yes. We encourage you to invite whomever you want.
